The First Backer Surveys Are Out!
over 5 years ago – Wed, Jan 16, 2019 at 01:07:54 AM

We just sent out our first batch of Backer Surveys. This is what is called a "Smoke Test" - 5% of our backers will get a survey, and we'll be able to see if there are any problems with it. We've been checking and re-checking to make sure the surveys have all the rewards and options for each reward level, but there are almost always those things that are left out. So, 5% of you will receive a survey soon. Once we see if there are any problems, we'll fix 'em, and then send out the rest of the surveys in the next few days.

Meanwhile, we continue to have no fun while we work on finishing the film, which is, of course, very fun for us! So, yes, we're having fun (just of the filmmaking kind). No time for normal fun.

Thanks to all of you - you're making our "fun" possible. We can't wait to show you the finished movie!

Cheers,

Chris and Griff

We should be getting ready for New Year's Eve celebrations, but instead we're working up some animation templates in After Effects for the covering footage.

Have a very safe and fun NEW YEAR everyone!

We'll see you on the other side.

We will now be sending the "Emergence of Blackmoor" Poster to anyone that pledged at the $25 level or higher.  Thanks Everybody!

Also, if you aren't sure about pledging at a high level, just $5 dollars gets your foot in the door, because we use Backer-Kit.  It allows you to do add ons even after the KS is done.

More on this poster here.

Happy Holidays, Everyone!

Less than 16 hours to go! We're busy "baking" those Christmas Day drafts
over 5 years ago – Mon, Dec 24, 2018 at 09:24:51 PM

That isn't the smell of cookies burning in the oven - it's our computers running at 100% while they "bake" the Christmas Day movie drafts. If you've pledged anything at $5 or higher, expect an email in your inbox tomorrow with your very own code to watch the "Story Drafts" of either the 24 Minute "Braunstein section" or the whole movie.

Please make sure to add "[email protected]" as an allowed email in your settings so the message does not end up in your spam folder.

Once we get your contact info at the campaign's end, we'll be compiling the list and blasting out the codes.

Our Backer Survey will happen on the 15th of January.

We hope that all of you have a safe and Happy Holiday!

Thanks,

Griff and Chris

"Battle In The Skies" Booklet Stretch Goal
over 5 years ago – Sun, Dec 23, 2018 at 11:06:57 PM

At the $60,000 we will send every Backer at the $25 level or higher an 8-page booklet containing a facsimile of a historically significant set of documents: Battle In the Skies, or more commonly known as "BITS".

This is by no means a complete set of rules, but rather the kind of working draft that Arneson would have produced by hand while working with Gygax. Comprised of 6 pages of notes, it gives you an idea of how much the drafts were changing before they got published.

Perhaps what is most visually appealing are the doodles that Arneson used to illustrate these rules. Arneson was known for his primitive fantasy art and some of it even made it into the first D&D edition. His players describe how he would make drawings on scraps of paper during game sessions to show what different creatures looked like.

For those who doubt Arneson's contribution, this is yet more proof that Arneson was contributing work that would later appear in D&D.

Help unlock this Stretch Goal and receive your copy of Arneson’s original notes for the BITS rules, printed in an 8 page booklet.

BITS is being revealed here for the first time. We hope we can get you a copy of this historical document.

 Thanks!
